报告题目：On Polya Conjecture for product domains

摘要：In 1954 Polya proposed a conjecture for any Euclidean domain that compares each Dirichlet and Neumann eigenvalue with the leading term in the Weyl asymptotics. In this talk I will review some backgrounds and known results on this conjecture, and discuss our result on this conjecture for thin product type domains/manifolds. This is a joint work with Xiang He.

报告人简介：王作勤，中国科学技术大学教授，中科大少年班学院副院长。博士毕业于美国麻省理工学院，并先后在约翰霍普金斯大学和密歇根大学从事研究工作，于2013年开始任中科大教授。主要研究领域为谱几何，半经典微局部分析，辛几何等相关领域，研究成果发表于GAFA，JDG，JFA等国际一流期刊上。
