报告题目：On the singular Yamabe problem in spheres

报告摘要：Given a non compact Riemannian manifold (M,g), the singular Yamabe problem asks for the existence of a complete metric in the conformal class of g, having constant scalar curvature. Unlike its compact counterpart, this p|roblem does not heve solutions, in general. In this talk I will present a proof of the existence of infinitely many solutions of the singular Yamabe problem in round n-spheres with a great k-sphere removed from it.

报告人简介：Paolo Piccione，男，1964年4月出生，国籍巴西，现任巴西圣保罗大学教授，连续三届（2017-2023）担任巴西数学学会会长。自2012年5月以来担任巴西科学院正式成员，担任国际数学联盟（IMU）执行委员会成员第二届（2023-2025），同时也是圣保罗大学工作制度特别委员会成员，以及Fapesp数学和统计学协调员。

Paolo Piccione教授的数学专业是微分几何，主要从事以下主题的研究：变分法和几何变分问题、分歧理论、莫尔斯理论、几何学和哈密顿系统。曾担任巴西科学技术部数学咨询委员会成员、圣保罗大学（USP）数学与统计研究所研究委员会主席、USP研究委员会成员、圣保罗大学数学与统计部门评估委员会（CAS）成员。在巴西数学学会（SBM）中，主要做出以下贡献：参与IMPA-SBM新闻奖的评审委员会，协调SBM奖评审委员会，并参与以下期刊的编辑委员会：《Revista Matemática Universitária》（总编辑）和《Matemática Contemporânea》（副编辑）。
