报告摘要:In this talk, we report on some new progress in setting up an abstract framework, under which Morse theoretical methods can be applied to some non-compact variational problems by computing the difference of topology induced by the so-called critical points at infinity. As an application we show how to apply such a method to the Nirenberg problem on spheres, recovering all existence results available in the literature. This is a joint work with Thomas Bartsch (Giessen University).
报告人简介:Mohameden Ahmedou教授任职于德国吉森大学数学研究所,长期从事非线性椭圆方程、变分方法、Morse理论等相关研究。在Yamabe问题、Nirenberg问题、Dirac算子等研究领域取得了系列成果,相关成果在Duke Math. J、J. Eur. Math. Soc.、Int. Math. Res. Not.、J. Funct. Anal.、Calc. Var. PDEs等期刊上发表。
